The main skill that a performer requires to performing musical theater is good knowledge of music and ability to sing during a performance at the theater. Also if the performer knows dancing it will be add on the advantage, as nowadays mostly musical play consists of music and dance both.
Many theater companies prefer performer with dual quality as it is cost cutting and also enhance the quality of play. If a performer has additional qualities of dancing, acting with singing it will be an additional benefit to him.
